The Issue -

In order to assist the City Council in understanding the needs of the residents and interact with them directly and regularly:

Each Council Member including the Mayor, is required to host and/or participate in a minimum of 1 (1.5hr) town hall meeting per quarter for a total of each member hosting or participating in four meetings per year. Attendance during the entire meeting is required. Each meeting will be videotaped and archived for online viewing. Attendance must be taken of all attendees, recording name, and phone number or email address. The results of the required metrics of hosting and/or attendance of the required one Town Hall per quarter shall be published on the City of Princeton website and social media page within two weeks of the end of any given quarter

This is a way we can safeguard Princeton.

Amendments to the charter can only be done every 2 years, now is the time.

If any part of this/these CHARTER ITEMS shall be found in violation of state code at any time by a valid court of law outside of the City of Princeton, only that portion of the item found of violation may be modified if possible or stricken if necessary, as ordered by that court of law. Any remaining portion of that item shall NOT be modified or removed and shall remain valid and intact.
